Bocce Ball
Bocce Ball is a classic outdoor lawn game. It’s a game of precision, strategy, and skill where players try to throw their balls closest to a smaller target ball.
Game Components:
- Pallino (or Jack): A small target ball, usually white.
- Bocce Balls: Each player or team has four larger balls, typically in two distinct colors for identification.
How to Play:
- Setup: The game is usually played on a flat surface like grass, dirt, or a designated bocce court. The pallino is thrown first to establish the target.
- Objective: Players take turns tossing their bocce balls, trying to get them as close as possible to the pallino.
- Turns: The player or team who does not have the closest ball to the pallino continues to throw until they get closer or run out of balls.
- Scoring: After all balls are thrown, points are awarded to the player/team with the bocce balls closest to the pallino. One point is awarded for each ball that is closer than the opponent’s closest ball.
- Winning: Games are typically played to 12 or 15 points (can vary by region or house rules).
