Corn Hole
Cornhole (also known as bean bag toss or bags) is a classic outdoor lawn game where players take turns tossing bags filled with corn or pellets onto a raised platform with a hole at the far end. It’s popular at tailgates, backyard parties, and tournaments due to its simple rules and fun, competitive nature.
Game Components:
- Cornhole Boards: Two angled wooden or plastic boards, each with a 6-inch hole near the top. Regulation size is 2 feet wide by 4 feet long.
- Bags: Each player or team has four fabric bean bags, typically filled with corn kernels or synthetic pellets. Teams use different colored bags for identification.
How to Play:
- Setup: Place the two boards 27 feet apart (can be closer for casual play). Teams or individuals stand next to one board and throw toward the opposite board.
- Turns: Players alternate tossing their bags underhand toward the other board, aiming for the hole or landing zone.
-
Scoring:
- Bag in the hole: 3 points
- Bag on the board: 1 point
- Bag off the board: 0 points
- Cancellation scoring: Only the difference in points counts per round (e.g., if Team A scores 5 and Team B scores 3, Team A gets 2 points for that round).
- Winning: The first player or team to reach exactly 21 points wins the game.
