Ladder Ball

/

Ladder Ball is a popular lawn game played outdoors, typically at picnics, tailgates, or backyard gatherings. It involves players throwing bolas—two balls connected by a string—at a ladder-shaped target to score points.

Game Components:
Ladders: Each ladder has three horizontal rungs, usually made from PVC or metal. The rungs are typically designated for different point values:

Top rung: 3 points

Middle rung: 2 points

Bottom rung: 1 point

Bolas: Each player or team has three bolas. They are usually made of two golf balls connected by a nylon rope.

How to Play:
Setup: Place two ladders about 15 feet apart (distance can vary for casual play).

Turns: Players take turns tossing their bolas at the opposite ladder, trying to wrap them around the rungs.

Scoring: After all bolas are thrown, players tally their points based on where the bolas landed.

Winning: The game is typically played to exactly 21 points. If a player goes over, their score may reset (depending on house rules).
